TRILEPTAL vs CBZ
Multicenter, randomized, double-blind, controlled clinical trial of 287 patients (n=68 intent-to-treat [ITT] TRILEPTAL patients with partial seizures, aged 16 to 63 years)—48-week, double-blind maintenance phase. Median number of partial seizures per 28 days at baseline was 5.5 for patients in the TRILEPTAL-treated group. Results achieved with a mean TRILEPTAL dosage of 1035 mg/day (range of 450 to 1800 mg/day).1,2

A low discontinuation rate (3.5%) due to adverse events (AEs) was observed
No patients discontinued treatment due to behavioral, psychiatric, or cognitive AEs
